CRY ME A RIVER

Huhuhu...someone should be responsible for giving me these movies! I cry alot watching Hachiko and The Notebook. A part when Hachi died and meet its owner (Richard Gere) was really left a huge pain inside. Not yet cure from a pain that Hachi left on me, i watch The Notebook. Oh no..!! It's a mistake. My tears wiped out when Noah (Ryan Gosling) wrote 365 letters to Allie (Rachel McAdams) and never received any reply from her. Furthermore, i cant stand knowing them die together at the same bedroom holding each other hands.

Speaking about love and loyalty, i try to understand how people or animal always remember the one they love. For example Allie, who suffering from dementia, finally she remember her husband at the end of her life. That is love. But the greater than that is Noah, who always try to remind Allie about their past. He didn't care about Allie' illness and always love her no matter what happen. Thats what i called loyalti! Just to remind you all, love is easy to come and go but loyalti is more than love. Be happy to all of you who already find such things.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Yuhuuu...akhirnya jadi juga nonton Alice in Wonderland bareng anak-anak The Babons. Gw surprise berat karena ternyata nich film dah nongol di CBD. Dengan susah payah membujuk Andadare supaya ga ikut pameran & book fair ini itu (kebanyakan jadwal nih anak), and then menghasut Gozen-sama via YM dan terakhir ngomporin my lovely hunny bunny Bajaj-san untuk jemput dan tancap gas ke CBD (lebay.com). Wawww...i was so excited since we are fans of the Gothic Movie Master a.k.a Tim Burton. Ngefans berat deh sama film-filmnya mas Tim, expecially Edward Scissorhand and Charlie & Chocolate Factory. Sebelum nonton film ini sebenernya agak kecewa dengan pemilihan karakter Alice yaitu Mia Wasikowska (who is she???). Kenapa tidak pakai aktris yang sudah famous such as Dakota Fanning, but i change my thought soon after i watch her Alice.
Overall, its a very good movie. Alih-alih dibuat dengan warna-warna pastel yang terang mengingat ini adalah film anak-anak, Tim Burton seperti biasa menggunakan warna kelam pada setiap scene-nya. Jalan cerita utama tidak berubah, hanya pada satu jam terakhir terdapat tambahan skenario seperti acara pertunangan Alice (Mia Wasikowska), legenda dimana Alice harus membunuh Jabbawocky, perang antara White Queen (Anna Hattaway) dengan Red Queen (Helena Boham Carter) dan keterlibatan Alice dengan bisnis ayahnya (i never read these things in my child book before!). Spesial efek paling hebat ada pada karakter Red Queen yang diperankan oleh mbak Helena dengan sangat mantap sekali. Cuma sayangnya akting Johnny Deep disini agak terlalu biasa, membuat gw teringat karakternya sebagai Willy Wonka. But once again...puas banget nonton nih film, semua terasa maksimal dari segi kostum, akting (walaupun gw pikir si White Queen terlalu lebay), spesial efek, durasinya juga pas (ga terlalu lama dan ga terlalu sebentar). Four thumbs up to mas Tim Burton. (D)

THE BLIND SIDE

Wow is the first word i said to Sandra Bullock in this movie. She was very beautiful, sexy, smart, multitasker woman and supermom in her role. Film yang masuk nominasi Oscar ini diadaptasi dari kisah nyata antara Michael Oher dan keluarga Tuohy. Michael yang keturunan afro-america dan berasal dari keluarga tidak mampu harus menyesuaikan diri ketika Mrs. Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) mengajak Michael tinggal bersama dengan keluarganya.
Yang bikin gw salut adalah keberanian Mrs. Tuohy untuk mengurus bahkan mengadopsi Michael yang gak jelas asal-usulnya. Dan lebih salut lagi sama keluarga Tuohy yang tidak mengeluarkan komplain sedikitpun dengan kedatangan Michael ke rumahnya. Mereka welcome dan mau berteman walaupun murid-murid lain di sekolah berusaha menghindari Michael.
Ternyata gak sia-sia perjuangan Mrs Tuohy mengurus Michael, coz Michael memperlihatkan bakat besar dalam bermain football. Sampai-sampai pelatih-pelatih dari universitas ternama datang ke rumah dan berusaha merekrut Michael untuk bergabung dengan tim mereka.
Last words...ga bakalan bosen lihat Sandra Bullock disini. She play a role as a good mother and wife. Ga sia-sia akhirnya dia bisa menang Oscar untuk kategori best actress. (D)
